Chelsea and PSG target Gabriel Moscardo responds to transfer rumors ahead of January transfer window

Both the European giants are keen on signing the Brazilian midfielder in the January transfer window. Paris Saint-Germain reportedly had their first bid worth €22 million rejected by Corinthians, who according to Foot Mercato, value the player at €40m. Chelsea too saw their initial bid of €20m turned down by the Brazilian club.

The 18-year-old player has addressed the rumors about his possible transfer, stating that he has no plans to leave the club and that he hopes to return in January. He wishes to focus on his current club and does not want to be distracted by speculation about his future.

According to reports by Foot Mercato, PSG has held talks with the Brazilian club and agreed on a deal to bring Moscardo to the Ligue 1 champions in January. He will then be immediately loaned back to his former club until June or December 2024. This will allow him to continue developing at his current club while also joining PSG.

PSG sporting director Luis Campos has confirmed that the club is in talks with Corinthians. In a statement to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Campos said that they are informed about the best young talents in the world, and that no deal has been sealed or signed yet. He did not disclose any further details about the potential transfer.

It's unclear whether PSG or Chelsea will pay the €40m asking price for Moscardo, but PSG currently has the edge in the transfer race. Meanwhile, Moscardo is enjoying some time off after making 18 appearances in the Brazilian Serie A, scoring one goal and providing an assist. He has also impressed with his all-around play, and is considered one of the best young talents in Brazil.
